Understanding Your Auto Glass Warranty

What does a lifetime warranty on auto glass really mean? We break down everything you need to know so you're never caught off guard.
What a Lifetime Warranty Covers
A lifetime warranty on auto glass repair or replacement covers defects in workmanship — meaning if the repair fails, the seal leaks, or the glass shifts due to improper installation, the shop will fix it at no cost. It does NOT cover new damage from rocks, accidents, or vandalism.
Repair Warranty vs. Replacement Warranty
For chip repairs, a lifetime warranty means if the repaired chip later cracks, we'll apply the repair cost toward a full replacement. For replacements, the warranty covers seal integrity, rattles, wind noise, and water leaks resulting from the installation.
What to Ask Before You Commit
- Is the warranty transferable if I sell my vehicle?
- Does it cover leaks and wind noise?
- How long has this shop been in business?
- Do they use OEM or OEM-equivalent glass?
